Amazing Quilting Cruise: 10 Nights Exploring the Eastern Caribbean

February 4 – 14, 2026

The Whispers of the Ocean Mystery Quilting Cruise is an exciting and unique experience.  During the cruise, you will complete quilt blocks, and the mystery part means that the full design of the quilt is revealed step by step, making it a fun and engaging surprise!

A 10-night Eastern Caribbean cruise sounds like the perfect getaway, especially if you’re looking to escape the cold winter months! This kind of cruise typically offers a mix of relaxing sea days, exciting shore excursions, and the chance to visit tropical islands with beautiful beaches and warm weather. Plus, a long 10-night cruise gives you plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the journey.

About the Educator:  Debi Montgomery

Debi Montgomery (born in the USA and living in New Zealand since the early 1990’s) has been quilting since 2010. In that time, she went from starving for patterns and making
everything she could get her hands on, then venturing into testing for other brilliant designers in the industry. After testing for a couple years, she decided it was time to take the plunge into the design world. Debi hasn’t looked back since.
She designed first for Quilters Club of America as a mystery quilt designer, designing five for them before the website changed hands. Moving countries in 2016 didn’t slow her
down, moving from one strength to the next. After designing a mystery for The Quilting Company, she decided to take that final plunge and design for herself, offering the patterns
for free on Facebook.
She “branded” as Mystery Quilts Anonymous after feeling like an addict to mystery quilting, falling in love with it and being hooked! The Facebook group grew from 0 to 5000 in less than 18 months! It became a place where every other quilt addict could find acceptance and support and many patterns to keep them busy! One can never have too much fabric or too many patterns!
Here we are about seven years later, almost 15,000 in our group and Debi going around the world sharing her patterns in Mystery Quilt Retreats and meeting all of you…spreading quilt joy everywhere. Debi has four mystery quilt books (seven patterns in each) available through Amazon and just keeps moving from strength to strength. Thank you so much to everyone along the way for your part in the journey to where we are today!

About the Project:

Although this is a Mystery Quilt project, here’s a little about what to expect:

The quilt Debi has designed will be called Maiden Voyage.  It will include some Storm at Sea blocks.  This will be a large twin size quilt and the kit will be provided for you.  The fun of the Mystery will be seeing the quilt develop and become something you never imagined it could be.  As we near the departure of the cruise, we may provide some fun little peeks – stay tuned!
