Michelle and Jacquelyn are a Mother/Daughter team who love to travel. They have enjoyed meeting Quilt Educators and from across the country as well as quilters from all over the world. What started as one Quilt Retreat turned quickly into 2 and then 3. The rest, as they say, is history. One or both of them escort each retreat and provide onboard management in order to make sure that each and every need is met. They look forward to meeting you onboard soon.
Quilting Adventures offers land vacations ocean and river cruises specifically tailored to quilters.
Ocean cruises will offer one class and one educator who provides a kit and education for a large quilt top, and a maximum group size of 40, your quilting time can include personalized service from the educator, an onboard technician to assist and answer questions about the provided machines, time to make new friends and strengthen bonds with those you already know. All quilting classes are held during our days at sea, with Open Stitch and Sail sessions daily. During port days, you will have time to explore the port of call, enjoy a shore excursion, spend time at the beach, shop or just relax by the ships pool.
River cruises may offer a smaller group activity such as a wool or stitching hand project, with the emphasis of the trip being the destination we visit and the sights along the way.
Land vacations will be designed to include historical, cultural and quilting related sights and stops so as to interest everyone who joins us. Bring along your spouses, friends, relatives even if they are not a quilter – they will still be part of our group and will enjoy dining with us, cocktail parties, and have some free time on their own to enjoy the ships activities if they choose not to be in the quilting classes.
