Wild Beauty, Endless Adventure: A Quilting Cruise to Alaska

Set sail on an unforgettable journey where creativity meets breathtaking landscapes. Join us aboard a luxurious cruise to Alaska, where the wild beauty of glaciers, mountains, and endless coastlines provides the perfect backdrop for inspiration.
By day, immerse yourself in hands-on quilting workshops led by expert instructors, designed for all skill levels. Discover new techniques, share stories, and stitch alongside fellow quilting enthusiasts who share your passion. As evening settles in, marvel at late-night horizons painted with amazing sunsets and the soft glow of twilight stretching over serene waters. Every night brings a new canvas of color and wonder, perfectly complementing the creativity you’ve sparked throughout the day.
This one-of-a-kind quilting cruise combines the joy of creating with the thrill of adventure. Whether exploring charming Alaskan ports, spotting whales from the deck, or finishing a quilt you’ll treasure forever, you’ll return home with lasting friendships and memories stitched into every moment.

About the Educator:  Jen Wagner – Snapdragon Quilting

Hi! I’m Jen Wagner, a quilt pattern designer and instructor from Las Vegas, NV, with a background as a women’s health nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife. After decades of helping women make informed health decisions, I now have the joy of helping quilters create quilts they love.

My patterns blend modern and traditional techniques while embracing bold design and vibrant color. Teaching quilters the techniques I use in my patterns—curved piecing, reverse appliqué, and foundation paper piecing—has been incredibly rewarding. I love seeing the moment when everything clicks and they fall in love with the process.

At Snapdragon Quilting, I design quilt patterns, curate gorgeous quilt kits, and stock my favorite notions to make the quilting process smoother and more enjoyable. Our Las Vegas shop brings quilters together for classes, inspiration, and community. I’m honored to work with beautiful fabrics, tools, and threads as a BenartExpert with Benartex, an Oliso Ambassador, and a Threaducator for WonderFil, sharing inspiration, techniques, and tips with quilters everywhere.

About the Project:

Exclusive Cruise Project

If you’ve taken one of my workshops or sewn one of my patterns, you know how much I love combining curves, reverse appliqué, and foundation paper piecing to create bold, eye-catching quilts. This exclusive cruise project is no exception!

Designed especially for our Alaska quilting adventure, this brand-new Snapdragon Quilting pattern will be released first to our cruise guests. You’ll be the very first to make it, learn the techniques with me during our days at sea, and watch the quilt come to life one step at a time.

Expect a project filled with beautiful design, satisfying construction, and plenty of opportunities to build your skills—all while stitching alongside fellow quilters surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Alaska.

The pattern will be available to the public after the cruise, but our guests will always be the first to experience it.
