Terms and Conditions:
Passenger Information: Passenger names must reflect full legal names as appears on passenger’s proof of citizenship or valid passport. Notify Travel Adventures by Michelle immediately if any corrections are needed. Suppliers may charge substantial fees plus applicable fare increases for any name changes. (For immigration and customs purposes it is essential that this information is accurate. Boarding airplanes or cruise ships may be denied if the information is inconsistent.)
Payments: All payments must be made by the dates listed. Payments may be made at any time prior to those dates. There is risk of cancellation by the cruise line if the final payment is not received on time. Be aware that cancellation penalties may apply prior to the final payment date. Payments made from our invoice are on a secured site. Payments may appear on your statement from one of more of the following companies: Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Holland America, Travel Adventures, Travel Guard, Travel Leaders, Shore Excursions Group, ShoreTrips, Ama Waterways and others suppliers.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations after the 2nd deposit date are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after the final payment are subject to a $250 cancellation fee per person. In addition, the cruise line cancellation fees may apply. Cancellations made within 30 days of departure are 100% non-refundable. In the event a sailing is cancelled by the cruise line, any funds that were collected by Travel Adventures will be held as a Future Travel Credit to be used within 2 years from the original date of departure.
Exceptions: Travel Guard will not issue a refund of insurance and/or policy fees, but you may request a credit to be used for a future trip. Any cancellations made that result in loss of monies paid may be filed as a claim through Travel Guard. These claims must fit under the insurance coverages and may not include the Travel Adventures by Michelle and Quilting Adventures cancellation fees.
Travel Supplier Policies: It is each passenger’s responsibility to have all required documentation, including but not limited to: (1) government issued birth certificate and photo ID, OR (2) valid passport and/or visa. Passports are recommended for all travel. All passengers assume full responsibility for inquiring and confirming passport, visa, vaccination, other entry requirements, safety and
security conditions of destinations to be visited. The “Taxes” category on the Travel Invoice includes air taxes, port taxes, departure fees, government fees and fuel surcharges if applicable. These costs are imposed by the suppliers and airlines and are subject to change until time of departure. Travel Adventures by Michelle/Quilting Adventures has no control over these taxes and fees and should they increase, your invoice will reflect this increase.
Privacy Policy: Michelle Lapham, Travel Adventures by Michelle is responsible for all personal information under its control. Your contact information will never be sold, traded or given away. You will be notified prior to each charge applied to the credit card you supplied for the trip you are registered for.
Agency Disclaimer:
Michelle Lapham, owner of Travel Adventures by Michelle, acts solely as a general booking agent on behalf of the customer, for the purpose of processing bookings and reservations with various cruise lines and travel suppliers. The agency has no control over the travel suppliers, the fares charged for services, their policies and procedures, change in itineraries, the scheduling of their services, or their methods of providing services. Therefore, Travel Adventures by Michelle shall not be liable or responsible, and is released of responsibility and liability, for any delay, inconvenience, loss or damage for personal or property injury, to any Passenger resulting from breach of contract or any acts or omissions on the part of any travel supplier, cancellation of any service by a travel supplier, any refund due from a travel supplier, any terrorist activities, civil or labor unrest, mechanical or construction defects or failures, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, or any other cause.
Force Majeure: No party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing herunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to acts of God (such as hurricanes, earthquakes, floods), fire, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, terrorist acts, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected. Should the event be cancelled, postponed or otherwise adversely affected as a result of a force majeure event, there shall be no refunds for payments already received by Travel Adventures by Michelle, but Travel Adventures by Michelle will use all reasonable efforts to work with Clients to produce the Event at a later date, and all funds received by Client will held as a Future Travel Credit for up to 18 months from the original date of the event.
